CPCCOHS1001A - National White Card Course (Online)
NATIONAL STANDARD WHITE CARD CONSTRUCTION SAFETY INDUCTION – ONLINE
Many changes relating to general construction safety induction have been witnessed in Australia over recent years. The most recent change has been the introduction of the National Standard based Construction Induction White Card (CPCCOHS1001A- "WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY"). The introduction of this new Induction White Card commenced in 2009 and now all States and Territories have ceased to issue the variously coloured State based Induction Cards (see below)

It is now a mandatory requirement that any person not in possession of a valid and current Induction Card undertake the necessary training to be dutifully issued a National Induction White Card prior to:
- Performing construction type work
- Entering a construction site unescorted.
The above highlights the fact that the National White Card is not exclusively limited to just construction workers.
Each and every National Induction White Card clearly displays the name of the State / Territory from which it was issued down the right hand side of the card. All Induction White Cards are nationally recognised across State Borders. Whilst it is a requirement that reference be made to certain and particular State based legislation, the White Card course content is fundamentally a nationally consistent approach towards safety induction training in the construction industry.

The National White Card now replaces the following State based Induction cards:
- Queensland Blue Card
- Western Australia Blue Card
- Victorian Red Card
- New South Wales Green Card, and NSW White Cards issued prior to September 2009.
At this point in time there is no Government legislation requiring holders of the above cards to upgrade to the new National White Card.
