Funded Training Opportunity


CSQ (Construction Skills Queensland) is inviting Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO’s) to submit applications to deliver training and assessment services under the Short Courses Civil Construction / General Construction Programs for 2017 / 2018:

  • Training must be delivered between October 1st 2017 and September 30th 2018

The Short Courses Civil Construction / General Construction Programs provides funding for a range of accredited competencies and non-accredited courses to assist with the up-skilling and cross-skilling of existing workers in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry and those industry workers who are currently out of work or in between jobs.

Eligibility Criteria


You MUST be You MUST NOT be
(A)
  • An Existing Worker in the Building and Construction Industry AND
  • An Eligible Worker OR
  • An Unemployed Eligible Worker
(B)
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen OR
  • A permanent resident of Australia OR
  • A holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa
(C)
  • A permanent resident in Qld OR
  • Permanently employed in Qld
  • An employee of an Authority (General Courses): OR
  • An employee of an Authority (excluding employees of an
    Indigenous Council that is a Principal Contractor); OR
  • Currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland Secondary
    School program (excluding eligible school-based apprentices and trainees); OR
  • A contracted trainer and assessor or an existing worker
    of any RTO; OR
  • Already funded by an Authority or other such source for
    delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program; OR
  • General Construction - Previously funded under this
    program for eight (8) short courses in the same program contract period.
  • Civil Construction - Previously funded under this program
    for three (3) short courses in the same program contract period.
