DESCRIPTION:This unit (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid) describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. \n\n \n\nThis unit (HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.\n\n \n\nThis unit (HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support) describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.\n\n \n\nThese units apply to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations\, including community and workplace settings.\n\n \n\nIt is recommended that First Aid refresher training be undertaken 3 yearly. \n\n \n\nUpon successful completion Narbil Training will issue 3 Statements of Attainment:\n\n• HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid\n\n• HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation\n\n• HLTAID010 - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support\n\n \n\nNote: It is a requirement of this course that learners are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.

DESCRIPTION:This unit (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid) describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. \n\n \n\nThis unit (HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.\n\n \n\nThis unit (HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support) describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.\n\n \n\nThese units apply to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations\, including community and workplace settings.\n\n \n\nIt is recommended that First Aid refresher training be undertaken 3 yearly. \n\n \n\nUpon successful completion Narbil Training will issue 3 Statements of Attainment:\n\n• HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid\n\n• HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation\n\n• HLTAID010 - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support\n\n \n\nNote: It is a requirement of this course that learners are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
