Further Information

The CPCCOHS1001A - Work Safely in the Construction Industry is a valuable resource for high school students and school leavers who may be looking for casual work or full time work within the construction industry.

The white card replaces the old blue card, red card and green cards that were issued depending on the state in which they were applied for. The new White Card is nationally recognised and is valid in all Australian states and territories.

The High School Students White Card can be obtained by anyone over the age of 14 years, and is necessary for all jobs across the construction industry including labourers and unskilled work. The course covers the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry including OHS legislative requirements, the identification and control of construction hazards, OHS communication and reporting and OHS incident response procedures.

The online course takes an average of only two to four hours to complete and is set up in an easy to use format. The High School Student reads a paragraph of text followed by a multiple choice question until all topics are covered.

The White Card for School Students discount makes the White Card an affordable addition to a School Student’s resume.
