What is Career Ready?
Queensland school students can undertake nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) qualifications while they are still at school. Successful completion of VET provides students with nationally recognised qualifications that deliver the skills and knowledge required for specific industries and occupations.
When a student completes vocational education and training while still enrolled at school, it is known as VET in Schools (VETiS). VETiS programs are available to students in Years 10, 11, and 12, allowing them to gain practical skills and nationally recognised qualifications during school hours. Successful completion can also contribute toward the student’s Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
The Queensland Government authorises selected Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to deliver VET in Schools (VETiS) programs. Narbil Training is an approved Skills Assured Supplier (SAS), recognised by the Queensland Government to provide nationally accredited, subsidised VETiS training to eligible school students.
